UPDATE ON INSTALL

Ladies - please spread the word. INSTALL LOCATION CHANGED! Lost to mr benson because work not up. Go to along the wall by the library where normally graphics work. If Katie's work still up pleae have her move it. Do not put work in the normal photo hallway. It cannot stay up - go to main hallway so it can stay up for the month. Don't forget your artist statement.  See you at 1050.

Thursday, Feb. 27

Please have your work up in the hallway along with your formatted artist statement at the start of critique on Thursday. We will meet in the PAC art hallway at 10:50 and will run class from then to about noon. See you then!

Tuesday, Feb. 25

For Tuesday, please have your series of 50 ready to look over in digital form. We will be discussing hanging arrangements and locations. You will have until Thursday to put them up. Please bring your artist statement and your permission forms for our adoption shoot. (Chelsea come and get these from me at some point when you get back or you can fill out on Tuesday).

Name in italics with the year at the bottom (please do not put anything on top of the statement - not your normal name in the corner / artist statement thing - artist statements do not need to be labeled in the real world so we don't do it here).

Please bring a paper copy of the artist statement to class. Chelsea - since only one without notes in person (make it more detailed as to the project and why you are having them do this and to what song).

Thursday, Feb.20

Please have your engagement photos ready to get critiqued and looked over in class. Bring on a stick. You will have the chance to make edits before submitting them for the photo diary. Be working on on your 50 series. Have some shots to look over for Thursday.

You will need to turn in a revised proposal if you have changed your idea. Make sure you have that for Thursday.

We will be looking over senior photo shoot tips on Thursday, talking about installation options for series of 50 and start talking about photo contracts for your business end of things.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

Please have your 20 senior images ready to show on Tuesday now since we didn't have class on Thursday. Please bring on a flash drive and we will look at them on the projector. You should have turned in your new proposals. Be shooting for your engagement shots and your series of 50. Have some photos of the 50 series to show. Deadline for that is fast approaching, engagement pictures are due on the 20th and the 50 series is due on the 27th. Make sure that you are on track for each of these.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

Please start on your engagement shoot for your photo diary assignment. This will be due on the Feb. 20th at the start of class. Take your couple and create a scene or a scenario. Get the classic shots with a twist of your situation that you are putting them in. We will look at some good engagement photographers to check out next class for ideas.

Please start on your series of 50. Bring a typed proposal to class for Thursday. Have section for statement / idea, gallery installation specifics, and rules for taking the photo series in a numbered list.
